Dubbed the Picasso of LEGO bricks wall street lawyer turned artist Nathan Sawaya creates astonishing masterpieces from the small building blocks beloved by children the world over. Requiring hours of painstaking work, each of his pieces can use more than 250,000 LEGO bricks in total.
Sawaya was bestowed with the honor of becoming a Master Model builder by LEGOLAND California in 2004. The pieces shown here were displayed at Nathan’s first solo art exhibition, The art of the Brick, at the Lancaster Museum of Art in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 2007.
